AVCA Release | All-Time LEC All-America Selections

LEXINGTON, Ky. – For the second time in three years, UMass Boston senior Eileen Shi (San Francisco, Calif.) received honorable mention to the American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) All-America Team. This marks the 18th national honor for a Little East Conference (LEC) women's volleyball player, and the 13th for a student-athlete from UMass Boston.

The 2018 Little East Offensive Player of the Year and First-Team All-LEC selection was the league's leader in kills (369, 3.97 per set), service aces (76) and total points (455, 4.9 per set) in her final collegiate season. Shi ranks third all-time in program history in kills and is just the third player in program history to also finish with over 1,000 digs.

The outside hitter also earned AVCA All-America honorable mention as a sophomore. For her career, Shi was a two-time AVCA First-Team All-Region selection, and a three-team All-LEC pick.
