Offensive Player of the Week

Megan Palmer (Keene State) – Sophomore – Middle Hitter – East Islip, N.Y.
Palmer was named LEC Offensive Player of the Week for the second time this season after totaling 33 kills (4.71 per set) while hitting .451 in a 3-0 week for the Owls. She hit .750 while totaling 12 kills on 16 attempts in a 3-0 conference win at Castleton before registering a double-double with 13 kills and 10 digs while hitting .353 in a sweep of UMass Dartmouth. Palmer capped the week with an eight-kill, 11-dig performance while hitting .381 in a sweep of Maine-Presque Isle. She now ranks third in the LEC in kills (231) and is fourth in kills per set (3.50).

Defensive Player of the Week

Macayla Chianco (UMass Boston) – Senior – Libero – Clearwater, Fla.
Chianco was named LEC Defensive Player of the Week for the first time this season after averaging 5.21 digs per set in the Beacons four matches last week, and in doing so became just the fourth player in program history to record 1,000 career digs. Her week was highlighted by a 28-dig performance in a 3-2 win at Pomonoa-Piter and an 18-dig showing against Whittier. Chianco ranks third in the conference in digs (267) and digs per set (4.17) this season.

Rookie of the Week

Anna Barry (Eastern Connecticut) – Freshman – Middle Hitter – Andover, N.H.
Barry repeated as LEC Rookie of the Week after totaling 32 kills (3.20 per set) and hitting .542 in a 2-1 week for the Warriors. She totaled 13 kills while hitting .455 in a 3-1 conference win at Rhode Island College before hitting .800 with eight kills on 10 swings in a 3-0 LEC victory over Castleton. Barry capped the week with an 11-kill performance in which she hit .500 (11-3-16) in a non-conference match against Connecticut College. She continues to lead the LEC in hitting percentage (.396) and ranks seventh in both kills (167) and kills per set (2.69).
