Swimmer of the Week

Katie Brandeberry (Keene State) – Senior – Phillipston, Mass.
Brandeberry was named LEC Swimmer of the Week for the third time this season after competing at this past weekend's MIT Invitational, which was highlighted by her role in the 400 freestyle relay recording a NCAA "B" cut with its time of 3:43.97. Individually, Brandeberry won the "C" final in the 50 freestyle (25.14), placed eighth in the 200 freestyle (1:57.60) and placed ninth in the 100 freestyle (54.28).

Rookie Swimmer of the Week

Athena Sampalis (Rhode Island College) – Freshman – West Greenwich, R.I.
Sampalis was named the LEC Rookie Swimmer of the Week for the second time this season after winning the 50 backstroke (34.83) and taking second in the 50 freestyle (29.69) in a dual meet against Plymouth State. She also swam the lead leg of the second-place 400 medley relay (5:15.68).

Diver of the Week

Monique Groux (Westfield State) – Senior – Agawam, Mass.
Groux was named LEC Diver of the Week after winning the one-meter event with a score of 216.35 and posting a top score of 228.55 on the three-meter board in the Owls' 123-86 dual meet victory over UMass Dartmouth. This marks the fourth weekly honor of the season for Groux.

Rookie Diver of the Week

Kaylin Carpenter (Westfield State) – Freshman – Tyngsboro, Mass.
Carpenter was named LEC Diver of the Week after placing second on the one-meter board with a score of 169.70 in the Owls 123-86 dual meet win over UMass Dartmouth. This marks the first weekly award of the season for Carpenter.
