D3Kicks.com honors 2 Litttle East Conference student-athletes

PROVIDENCE, R.I.- Two student-athletes from the Little East Conference were named to the D3Kicks.com national team of the week this afternoon. Eastern Connecticut State University senior goalkeeper Megan Gloster (Agawarm, Mass.) and Keene State College senior striker Kathleen Keniston (Minneapolis, Minn.) each earned national recognition.

Gloster backstopped Eastern Connecticut to a 1-0-1 mark this past week, holding the opposition scoreless in her fifth consecutive appearance. On Sept. 12, the Agawam, Mass. native posted a career-high 12 saves to preserve a 0-0 draw against nationally-ranked Amherst College. Three days later, Gloster made six saves in just 45 minutes of scoreless action in the Little East Conference opening win over Plymouth State, 5-0. She has not allowed a goal in 290 minutes of action this season.

On Sept. 15, Keniston scored a season-high six points as Keene State College overpowered Little East Conference rival Southern Maine, 7-2. The Minneapolis, Minn. product registered a pair of goals, including the decisive score, while also dishing out a pair of helpers as Keene State opened the conference circuit with a victory.

At least one women's soccer student-athlete has represented the Little East Conference in each of the first two editions of the D3Kicks.com team of the week.
