PAWTUCKET, R.I. – UMass Dartmouth senior forward Nakira Examond has added one more accolade to her collegiate career, being named a Third Team All-American by This marks her second straight national honor from after receiving honorable mention to the 2017-18 All-America Team.

Examond led the Little East Conference (LEC) in scoring (17.7 ppg), rebounding (9.9 rbg) and field goal percentage (58.9%) in her final collegiate campaign. She was named the LEC Player of the Year for the second time in three seasons, making her the eighth player in league history to receive the award multiple times, and was named a All-Region honoree for the third consecutive year.

The New Bedford, Mass. native is one of just seven LEC players to be named an All-American by, and is the only player to-date to be so honored from UMass Dartmouth. She is the fourth player in conference history to receive national honors on multiple occasions.
