Player of the Week

Nakira Examond (UMass Dartmouth) –Senior – Forward – New Bedford, Mass.
Examond was named the Little East Conference Player of the Week for the second time this season after totaling 22 points and 13 rebounds over just 21 minutes of action in the Corsairs' 81-58 non-conference victory at Johnson & Wales (R.I.). The senior forward shot 75 percent (6-8) from the field and 83 percent (10-12) from the free throw line in the contest. Examond leads the LEC in points (18.4) and rebounds (10.4) per game, and is second in field goal percentage (60.2).

Rookie of the Week

Willcia McBorrough (Rhode Island College) – Freshman – Forward – Providence, R.I.
McBorrough was named Little East Conference Rookie of the Week after totaling 13 points and nine rebounds in a non-conference contest against Emmanuel, placing her just one rebound shy of a double-double. The freshman forward shot 50 percent (6-12) from the field in the game. McBorrough leads the Little East in field goal percentage at 61.4 percent, and ranks eighth in rebounding (6.2 rpg).
