Player of the Week

Mya Villard (Eastern Connecticut) – Junior – Forward – Cromwell, Conn.
Villard was named the Little East Conference Player of the Week after averaging 17.5 points and seven rebounds per game in a 1-1 week for the Warriors, which started with a 70-67 upset victory over No. 1 ranked Amherst College heading into the Thanksgiving break, ending the team's 68-game winning streak. She scored 23 points on 10-of-15 shooting from the floor to go with nine rebounds, two assists and two blocked shots against the two-time defending national champions, leading Eastern back from a 15-point fourth quarter deficit to hand the Mammoths their first loss since March 19, 2016, when they fell to Thomas More in the Final Four round of the NCAA tournament.

Rookie of the Week

Jenna Serrantino (Eastern Connecticut) – Freshman – Guard – Cromwell, Conn.
Serrantino was named the Little East Conference Rookie of the Week after averaging 10.5 points per game while shooting 55 percent (6-11) from the field and going a perfect 9-for-9 at the free throw line in a 2-0 week for the Warriors. She totaled 12 points and three rebounds in Eastern's 70-67 victory over top-ranked Amherst, helping snap the two-time defending national champions 68-game winning streak. The freshman then scored nine points against Williams.
