Field Athlete of the Week

C.J. Moody (Southern Maine) - Junior – Old Town, Maine
Moody was named the LEC Outdoor Field Athlete of the Week after placing fourth overall and first among NCAA Division III competitors in the decathlon at Southern Connecticut State University's Northeast Combined Events Challenge. His total of 6,143 points is the best in New England and ranks him eighth in the nation. Moody was second among the competitors in the long jump with a mark of 6.56 meters on day-one, and had a personal best in the pole vault clearing 4.15 meters on day-two. He is just the second USM athlete to break 6,000 points in the event.

Track Athlete of the Week

Sam Brunnette (Plymouth State) – Senior – Newport Center, Vt.
Brunnette was named the LEC Outdoor Track Athlete of the Week after placing third in the 5,000-meter run at the Silfen Invitational Friday. He finished with a time of 14:42.62, which is currently the 21st-fastest time in the country.

Rookie Field Athlete of the Week

Joey Fodor (Keene State) - Freshman – Berlin, N.H.
Fodor was named the LEC Outdoor Rookie Field Athlete of the Week after winning the javelin throw at the Silfen Invitational with his toss of 57.55 meters, which ranks him 21st in the nation and is the top mark among LEC rookies in the event this season.

Rookie Track Athlete of the Week

Ryan Escoda (Eastern Connecticut) – Freshman – Newtown, Conn.
Escoda was named the LEC Outdoor Rookie Track Athlete of the Week after winning the 3,000-meter steeplechase with his program-record time of 9:40.77 at the Southern New Hampshire University Penmen Relays. His time currently ranks him second in the LEC.

Relay of the Week

Eastern Connecticut 4x100 Relay
The Warriors' 4x100-meter relay of sophomore Nicklas Brink (Stockholm, Sweden), freshman Tyler Linquist (Worcester, Mass.), junior Nick Afragola (Killingworth, Conn.), freshman Rahman Oteng (Accra, Ghana) posted a first-place time of 43.00 seconds at the SNHU Penmen Relays, which ranks first in the conference this season.
