Field Athlete of the Week

Ron Helderman (Southern Maine) - Senior – Madison, Maine
Helderman was once again named LEC Field Athlete of the Week after placing third in the pole vault after clearing a season-best height of 4.95 meters at Boston University's Valentine Invitational. He is currently ranked first in New England and seventh in all of NCAA Division III.

Track Athlete of the Week

Sam Brunnette (Plymouth State) – Senior – Newport Center, Vt.
Brunnette was named LEC Track Athlete of the Week after posting the second-fastest time in Division III in the 3,000-meter run this season at the Valentine Invitational Saturday. His program-record time of 8:16.84 placed him 29th overall in a race that included Division I and professional competitors, and was the top time among DIII runners.

Rookie Field Athlete of the Week

Matt Thibaudeau (Rhode Island College) - Freshman – Lincoln, R.I.
Thibaudeau was named LEC Rookie Field Athlete of the Week after he finished 18th in the weight throw at Boston University's Valentine Invitational with a toss of 13.79 meters.

Rookie Track Athlete of the Week

Shemar Stewart (Eastern Connecticut) – Freshman – Bloomfield, Conn.
Stewart was named the LEC Rookie Track Athlete of the Week after placing fourth in the 400-meter dash (52.23) and ninth in the 60-meter hurdles (9.08) at Yale's Giegengack Invitational Saturday.

Relay of the Week

Southern Maine 4x400 Relay
Junior Donivyn Harms (Westbrook, Maine), sophomore Zach Hoyle (Sidney, Maine), and seniors Justin Pierce (Standish, Maine) and Jared Marshall (Gloucester, Mass.) combined for a season-best time of 3:19.30 to finish 14th overall (fourth among DIII teams in the 4x400 relay at Boston University's Valentine Invitational. Their time moved them into second place in the latest New England Division III rankings, and 17th nationally.
