Field Athlete of the Week

Ron Helderman (Southern Maine) - Senior - Madison, Maine
Helderman repeats as the LEC Field Athlete of the Week after he won the pole vault at the USM Open II. The senior cleared a height of 4.80 meters, which places him second in the nation to Wisconsin-Oshkosh's Joe Vils (4.85m).

Track Athlete of the Week

Jared Marshall (Southern Maine) – Senior – Gloucester, Mass.
Marshall was named LEC Track Athlete of the Week after winning 55-meter dash and 55-meter hurdles at the USM Open II with respective times of 6.43 seconds and 7.76 seconds. His 55-meter dash time established a new program record, and when converted to the 60-meter dash (6.92) ranks him third in DIII this season. His converted 60-meter dash time of 8.36 seconds ranks him 12th in the nation.

Rookie Track Athlete of the Week

Tom Vesosky (Southern Maine) – Freshman - Colchester, Vt.
Vesosky repeats as the LEC Rookie Track Athlete of the Week after winning the 200-meter dash at the USM Open II with a time of 23.51 seconds.
