LA CROSSE, Wisc. – Two individuals and one relay from Little East Conference (LEC) programs recorded All-America performances on the final day of competition at the 2018 NCAA Division III Outdoor Championships Saturday.
Louf-Woods placed sixth in the hammer Saturday after his second throw landed at 59.30 meters. He placed fourth in the shot put with a toss of 16.84 meters Friday for his first All-American performance of the weekend.
Also on Saturday, Plymouth State junior Sam Brunnette (Newport Center, Vt.) registered an All-American finish in the 3,000-meter steeplechase, placing fourth with a time of 9:14.23. That was followed by an All-America showing for UMass Boston's 4x100 relay as the team of junior Bless Amedoadzi (Boston, Mass.), seniors Dominic Nda (Pittsfield, Mass.) and Garth Miriyoga (Johannesburg, South Africa) and sophomore Stefan Powell (Hyde Park, Mass.) placed seventh with their time of 40.98 seconds.
UMass Dartmouth sophomore Jordan Entwistle (Northborough, Mass.) placed fourth in the javelin with his throw of 65.17 meters to earn All-America laurels, while teammate Steve Tencati (Clinton, Mass.) finished 10th (60.60m). Corsairs' sophomore George Papoulis (Haverhill, Mass.) crossed the finish line in 1:52.27 in the 800-meter run, placing him 14th overall. UMass Boston's Nda (Pittsfield, Mass.) finished 13th in the 100-meter dash in 10.98 seconds.
The Corsairs led all LEC teams in the final team standings, tying for 19th after totaling 13 points. Plymouth State tied for 52st with five points and UMass Boston tied for 70th with two points.
