PAWTUCKET, R.I. – The first U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) Team Computer Ranking of the 2018 indoor season was announced Tuesday, which has the UMass Boston women's program maintaining is No. 13 preseason ranking and the Southern Maine men's program climbing to No. 17.

UMass Boston sophomore Wadeline Jonathas is currently ranked No. 1 in the nation in the 60 meter dash (7.61) and 200 meter dash (24.32), and ranks third in the nation in the long jump (5.59m). Senior Taylor Driggers is tied for 20th in the long jump (5.41m) this season.

Southern Maine, which was ranked No. 21 in the USTFCCCA preseason ranking, has a pair of individuals and relays currently ranked in the top-10 in the nation. Senior Ron Helderman is tied for fifth in the pole vault (4.90m), while sophomore Charles Moody is fifth in the heptathlon (4,663 points). The 4x400 relay of sophomores Donivyn Harms and Cam Labrie, and juniors Devin Warren and Hany Ramadan is fifth in the nation with a time of 3:19.99, while the distance medley relay of sophomore Nick Harriman, junior Colin Jones, sophomore Tristan Butterfield and freshman Chandler Vincent is ninth at 10:46.90.

The Beacons will next compete at both Boston University's John Terrier Classic and the Wheaton College Invitational Saturday, while the Huskies with host their third USM Open meet of the season.
