Tiip-Off Times Set for Men's and Women's Basketball Semis and Championships

PAWTUCKET, R.I. – Start times for the 2015 Little East Basketball Semifinals and Championship games have been determined, the conference office announced Wednesday. Both tournaments will continue this coming weekend at Eastern Connecticut State University, which garnered the top seeds in both the men’s and women’s brackets and prevailed in Tuesday’s quarterfinals.

The men’s semifinals will take place in the evening on Friday, Feb. 27, with Eastern Connecticut hosting #4 seed Keene State at 5 p.m. That game will be immediately followed by #2 seed Rhode Island College versus #3 seed UMass Dartmouth at 7:30 p.m. The Championship contest between the two winners will take place Saturday, Feb. 28 at 2 p.m. 

The women’s bracket will continue on Saturday evening, with #4 seed Keene State facing off with Eastern Connecticut in the first semifinal at 5 p.m. Second-seeded UMass Dartmouth will meet #3 seed UMass Boston at 7:30 p.m. in the second game. The Championship will be held Sunday, March 1 at 2 p.m.  at Geissler Gym. 

All remaining contests in the Little East Men’s and Women’s Basketball Championships will be streamed live on littleeast.tv by ETV Sports, Eastern Connecticut’s student broadcasting team.

Friday, Feb. 27: Semifinals  - at Eastern Connecticut State University

GAME 5: #1 Eastern Connecticut vs. #4 Keene State – 5 p.m.

GAME 6: #2 Rhode Island College vs. #3 UMass Dartmouth – 7:30 p.m.

 

Saturday, Feb. 28: Championship – at Eastern Connecticut State University

GAME 7: Winner Game 5 vs. Winner Game 6 – 2 p.m.

Saturday, Feb. 28: Semifinals - at Eastern Connecticut State University

GAME 5: #1 Eastern Connecticut vs. #4 Keene State – 5 p.m.

GAME 6: #2 UMass Dartmouth vs. #3 UMass Boston – 7:30 p.m. 

 

Sunday, March 1: Championship – at Eastern Connecticut State University

GAME 7: Winner Game 5 vs. Winner Game 6 – 2 p.m.
