GILBERT, Ariz. - Keene State College field hockey sophomore forward Kayla Klein was named to the National Field Hockey Coaches Association Honor Roll, it was announced on Wednesday night.
Klein, the reigning Little East Conference Offensive Player of the Week, scored six goals in her two contests last week, registered hat-tricks against both Colby-Sawyer and UMass Dartmouth. She now has 11 goals this season and 10 in her last four games, heading into Thursday night's contest against No. 18 Trinity College.
Klein is the first KSC player to receive national weekly recognition in two years, since Sami Smith '17 did so in October 2016.
This marks the second consecuive week a LEC field hockey student-athlete garnered weekly honors from the NFHCA after Worctester State University senior forward Michaila Parent earned a spot on the Honor Roll for the week ending September 16, 2018.
