UMass Boston and Southern Maine Ranked in Top-15 of Final 2019 Baseball Polls

PAWTUCKET, R.I. – The final polls of the 2019 baseball season placed both UMass Boston and the University of Southern Maine in the top-15 following their NCAA Division III Championship Tournament runs.

UMass Boston is ranked No. 3 in the final American Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA)/Collegiate Baseball Newspaper (CBN) Poll, and is ranked No. 5 in the final D3baseball.com/National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association (NCBWA) Poll. The Beacons posted an overall record of 37-14 while winning the 2019 Little East Conference (LEC), and NCAA Division III Regional and Super Regional tournament championships. UMass Boston then tied for third at the 2019 College World Series after going 2-2 at the national tournament.

Southern Maine ended the 2019 season with an overall record of 37-9, and won the 2019 LEC regular season title with a league mark of 14-2. The Huskies received an at-large berth in the NCAA tournament, and advanced to the regional final.
