CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa – UMass Boston designated hitter Kyle Boudrias was named to the 2019 NCAA Division III Championship All-Tournament Team. The announcement was made following the conclusion of the College World Series Tuesday, June 4.
Boudrais batted .438 (7-16) with four doubles, four RBI and a run scored over the Beacons four games. He had three multi-hit games while delivering one double and one run batted in in each contest. The senior was 2-for-3 in with a double and an RBI in the Beacons' tournament-opening 4-3 win over Webster, and was 2-for-4 with an RBI and a run scored in their 10-6 victory over eventual national champion Chapman.
For the season, Boudrias batted .361 while totaling 74 hits, 14 doubles, two triples, two homers, 43 RBI and 34 runs scored. He finished the 2019 campaign ranked fourth in the Little East Conference in hits and runs batted in, was seventh in doubles and total bases (98), and 10th in batting average.
UMass Boston finished the 2019 campaign with an overall record of 37-14 (.725) following the third trip to the College World Series in program history. The Beacons advanced to the national tournament for the second time in three years after capturing their third consecutive LEC title.
