Tulley Named to Team of the Week

BOSTON, Mass. – After a shutdown performance in Saturday’s 6-0 win over Plymouth State University senior righty Matt Tulley (Lowell, Mass.) was named to the Team of the Week. 

Tulley, was one of three starting pitchers named to the Team of the Week.  In his only appearance in the Beacons 3-0 week, Tulley allowed just two hits in 6.1 innings of work.  During his outing he struck out eight and walked just one batter to extend the Beacons win-streak to seven straight games at the time.

To-date Tulley, leads the starting pitching staff with a 2.94 ERA and currently boasts a team best five wins (5-2).  In 39.2 innings, Tulley has fanned a team-high 47 batters, while allowing just 21 walks.  Opponents are currently hitting .211 against the Division I transfer.  

The Team of the Week is's weekly honor roll, honoring performers at each position from the previous week.  Players are selected from nominations from their school's sports information directors.  This is the twelfth Team of the Week of the 2017 season.
