    MANSFIELD, Conn. – Tournament Most Outstanding Player Shawn Gilblair (WINDHAM, Conn.) had a two-out walkoff single in the bottom of the ninth inning and the top-seeded and No. 11 nationally-ranked Warriors won their sixth Little East Conference Baseball Tournament championship by defeating second-seeded Keene State College 4-3 Saturday night at the Eastern Baseball Stadium.

    PROVIDENCE, R.I.—Rhode Island College sophomore shortstop Josh Cardoso (Dartmouth, Mass.) was named the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association (NCBWA) Division III Baseball Hitter of the Week for the week ending April 15. Earlier in the week, he was selected as the Little East Conference Player of the Week after leading the Anchormen to a 3-0 mark in the conference circuit with a .714 (10-for-14) batting average, seven RBIs, six runs scored, a pair of home runs, a triple and a 1.214 slugging percentage.
