Hirsh Sets Owl Record In Javelin at UMass Lowell Invitational
LOWELL, Mass. - Keene State College junior
Samantha Hirsh (Holliston, Mass.) broke the
program's record in the javelin this afternoon at the George
Davis Invitational on Saturday. The Owls won three events, set
three school records, and posted a pair of provisional NCAA
championship qualifying marks.
Hirsh posted an NCAA Division III Championship provisional
qualifying mark and established a new Keene State College record
with her first place javelin toss of 132'-09". The native of
Holliston, Mass. also set the UMass Lowell meet and facility record
with her toss, becoming the only student-athlete to alter the meet
and facility record books on the afternoon.
Keene State College returns to action on April 19 at the
Springfield College Invitational.
