LOWELL, Mass. - Keene State College junior Samantha Hirsh (Holliston, Mass.) broke the program's record in the javelin this afternoon at the George Davis Invitational on Saturday. The Owls won three events, set three school records, and posted a pair of provisional NCAA championship qualifying marks.

Hirsh posted an NCAA Division III Championship provisional qualifying mark and established a new Keene State College record with her first place javelin toss of 132'-09". The native of Holliston, Mass. also set the UMass Lowell meet and facility record with her toss, becoming the only student-athlete to alter the meet and facility record books on the afternoon.
