February 13, 2010 GORHAM, Maine -- For the 10th straight year, the University of Southern Maine women's indoor track and field team swept the New England Alliance and Little East Conference championships contested Saturday at the Costello Sports Complex. The Huskies won the Alliance title with 154 points to edge out Worcester State College by 14 points. Westfield State College was third with 83 points, followed by Keene State College with 79.5 and the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth with 71.5. |

The Little East Conference announced its annual womens indoor track and field major award winners for the 2009 season after a vote by the conferences head coaches this afternoon. March 16, 2009 Rhode Island College senior Kayla Fleming (Pawtucket, RI) earned All-American honors in the high jump, tying for seventh place with a 1.61-meter effort at the 2009 NCAA Div. III Women's Indoor Track and Field Championships, hosted by Rose Hulman Institute of Technology on Mar. 13-14. Due to Fleming's efforts, Rhode Island College finished 66th (68 teams) with 0.8 points.
