Track Athlete of
the Week.
Emily Artesani (Orono, Maine), Junior, University of Southern
Maine
Artesani scored 20 points at the State of Maine Championships
Friday night. She was second in the 200 meters with a time of 27.62
seconds, second in the 400 meters with a time of 1:00.44, and
fourth in the 55-meter dash with a time of 7.98 seconds.

Kayla Fleming (Pawtucket, R.I.), Senior, Rhode Island
College
Fleming took the top spot in the high jump with a 1.58-meter
effort, while also placing second in the 600 meters (1:42.16) and
fifth in the long jump (4.69m)at the Wesleyan Invitational on Feb.
7. It was an individual meet with no team scoring.
Rookie Track Athlete of the Week
Sarah Titus (Derry, N.H.), Freshman, Keene State
College
Titus finished fourth in the 800-meter race (2:24.97) at the Tufts
Invitational on Saturday.

Bethany Dumas (Augusta, Maine), Freshman,
University of Southern Maine
Dumas won the pole vault and posted two other top three finishes at
the State of Maine Championships. She cleared 3.36 meters (11-0
1/4) to win the pole vault, was second in the 55-meter hurdles and
jumped a season-best 5.00 meters (16-5) to take third in the long
jump. Dumas personally accounted for 24 of Southern Maine's 87
points in meet. Her win in the pole vault marked the eighth
straight year a Huskies' competitor has won the event.
