Track Athlete of the Week.

Emily Artesani (Orono, Maine), Junior, University of Southern Maine


Artesani won two events for Southern Maine at the USM Coed Invitational. Artesani captured the 55-meter dash with a career-best time of 7.58 seconds, and won the 200 meters with a time of 26.75 seconds.

Field Athlete of the Week

Christina Bourbeau (Manchester, N.H.), Junior, Keene State College


At the Dartmouth Track Classic on Saturday, Bourbeau placed second in the pole vault (10'-6.00"). She was also a member of the KSC 4x400 relay team which placed fourth (4:14.61).

Rookie Track Athlete of the Week

Andrea Walsh (Bolton, Conn.), Freshman, Keene State College

Walsh placed third in the 1,000 (3:22.96) and 12th in the mile (5:40.21) at the Dartmouth Classic on Saturday.

Rookie Field Athlete of the Week

Kim Mangum (Warwick, R.I.), Freshman, Rhode Island College


Mangum continued her stellar performance as she placed third in the long jump (4.95m), third in the triple jump (10.98m), 14th in the 200 meters (29.10) and third as part of the 4x400 meter relay (4:23.02) at the URI Invitational on Jan. 30. Her distance in the triple jump is a new program record, surpassing the previous mark she established last week.
