Track Athlete of
the Week
Kristina Lundquist (Yarmouthport, Mass.), Freshman, University of
Massachusetts Dartmouth
Lundquist qualified for the New England Division III
Championships in the pentathlon and 55-meter hurdles this past
weekend. In her first multi-event competition, Lundquist finished
second in the pentathlon with 2382 points. She ran the 55 meter
hurdles in 9.48 seconds, high jumped four feet, 4 ¼ inches,
threw the shot 29 feet, one inch, long jumped 15 feet, 6 ¼
inches, and ran 800 meters in 3:04.44.
Field Athlete of
the Week
Hillary Hall (Waldoboro, Maine), Sophomore, University of
Southern Maine
Hall had a career-best day in the high jump clearing 1.58 meters
(5-2 1/4) to earn one-half point for Southern Maine at the 40th
Annual Dartmouth College Relays. Hall was one of two Huskies'
athletes to score at the meet.
Rookie Field
Athlete of the Week
Bethany Dumas (Augusta, Maine),
Freshman, University of Southern Maine
Dumas scored for Southern Maine in the pole vault at the 40th
Dartmouth College Relays. Dumas, who was the lone Division III
competitor to score in the event, tied for sixth place by clearing
3.35 meters (10-11 3/4) to earn one-half point.
