PROVIDENCE, R.I. - The Eastern College Athletic Conference recognized Rhode Island College junior Brooke Iby (Dracut, Mass.) as its Division III Women's Track Athlete of the Week for her performance at the Coast Guard Invitational on Saturday, Jan. 17.

Iby, who was also named the Little East Conference Women’s Track Athlete of the Week, placed first in the 55 meters (8.12), second in the triple jump (9.81 meters), while also taking the top spot as part of the 4x200 meter relay squad (1:54.73) and finishing second as part of the 4x400 meter relay (4:30.30).

Head Coach Kevin Jackson’s Anchorwomen placed first at the Coast Guard Invitational, totaling 241 points. The hosts were second (138), while Connecticut College (122) and the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy (18) rounded out the field.

In upcoming action, the Anchormen will compete at the Wesleyan Invitational on Saturday, Jan. 24.
