PAWTUCKET, R.I. – The Western Connecticut State University women's soccer team moved into the top-25 in both the D3Soccer.com and United Soccer Coaches polls for the first time this season after improving to 11-0-2 through last week's competition. The Colonials are tied for first in the Little East Conference (LEC) standing with 10 points after compiling a league record of 3-0-1.
Western Connecticut is ranked 22nd this week by D3Soccer.com and entered the United Soccer Coaches Poll at No. 25. The Colonials were ranked 23rd last week by D3Soccer.com and were receiving votes in the United Soccer Coaches Poll entering last week's action, which saw the Colonials record a pair of 1-1 draws against Western New England University and LEC rival Eastern Connecticut State University.
Western Connecticut has a pair of matches scheduled for this week, opening with a home non-conference tilt against SUNY New Paltz Wednesday before traveling to Rhode Island College Saturday for a LEC match.
