Kenyon Scores ECAC Division III Women's Soccer Award
CENTERVILLE, Mass. -- Keene State College
junior Hayley Kenyon (Exeter, R.I.) was named the Eastern College
Athletic Conference (ECAC) Division III New England Women's Soccer
Offensive Player of the Week for leading the Owls to a 3-0 mark.
Twenty-four hours earlier, she was also selected as the Little East
Offensive Player of the Week.
Kenyon scored five goals and dished out an assist for 11 points to
lead Keene State to three victories this past week. The junior from
Exeter, R.I. matched the Owl school record for goals in a single
match with four as Keene State defeated Framingham State. Two days
later, she found the back of the net at Castleton State.
A starter in each of her 12 matches, Kenyon currently ranks among
the Little East leaders in goals (3rd, 11) and points (3rd, 25),
while sharing the team lead in assists (3). She has produced the
majority of her points over the past four matches, accounting for
six goals and two assists for 14 points. Kenyon notched her lone
game-winning goal of the season to lift the Owls past Johnson &
Wales on Sept. 25.
Keene State (8-6) returns to action on October 10, when the Owls
host Bridgewater State University in a non-conference match.
