Lavery Scores ECAC Recognition

CENTERVILLE, Mass. - Plymouth State University junior midfielder Lauren Lavery (Nashua, N.H.) was named the Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Division III New England Co-Offensive Player of the Week this afternoon after leading the Panthers to a 2-0 mark. Less than 24 hours earlier, she was selected the Little East Conference Offensive Player of the Week.

Lavery powered the Plymouth State (5-5-3) attack with 10 points, on three goals and four assists. She had a foot in all seven Panther markers. Lavery registered her first hat trick of the season against Rhode Island College in the first half, while also adding a helper on an insurance goal in the second half. Earlier in the week, Lavery dished out all three assists in a non-conference win over Castleton.

In 13 matches on the campaign, including 12 starts, she currently sits atop the Plymouth State roster in assists (4), goals (6), and points (16). Lavery netted the game-winning goal in her season debut against Green Mountain, while also adding the decisive score against the Anchorwomen.

Plymouth State returns to action at 4:30 p.m. this afternoon, when the Panthers host Bridgewater State College.
