Alison Bradley Honored By ECAC

NORTH DARTMOUTH, Mass. – University of
Southern Maine senior goalkeeper Alison Bradley (Auckland,
New Zealand) was named the Eastern College Athletic
Conference (ECAC) Division III New England Defensive Player of the
Week this afternoon. Twenty-four hours earlier, she was selected
the Little East Conference Goalkeeper of the Week.
In her first start of the season, Bradley single-handily kept the
Huskies in the match against the University of New England with a
conference-best 17 saves. Four days later, she made five saves to
register her first shutout of the campaign in a 1-0 win at Maine
Maritime on Sept. 14. On the week, Bradley made 22 saves to sport a
1.00 goals against average and a .916 save percentage.
Southern Maine (3-1-0) returns to action at 1 p.m. on Sept. 20,
when the Huskies host Keene State College (5-1-0) in the Little
East Conference opener for both clubs.

Jess Tietgens (Stamford, Vt.), Sophomore, Forward, Mass.
College of Liberal Arts
Tietgens netted five goals this week, including an all-important
hat trick in a 3-2 overtime victory over Elms College. She also
scored a pair of goals in a 3-1 win over Mount Holyoke.
Courtney Chadburn (North Clarendon, Vt.), Sophomore,
Forward, Castleton State College
In a 3-0 week for the Spartans, Chadburn scored eight goals,
including three game-winners. Her week was highlighted by a
four-goal performance in a 7-0 win over University of
Maine-Machias.
