2008 Little East Conference Women's Lacrosse Championship pairings
NORTH DARTMOUTH, Mass. – Eastern
Connecticut State University boasted an unbeaten 6-0 mark inside
the conference circuit to earn the top-seed in the upcoming 2008
Little East Conference Women’s Lacrosse Championship
Tournament. The Warriors will have home-field advantage throughout
the tournament fray. The University of Southern Maine earned the
second bye into the semifinal round on the strength of a 5-1 mark
in conference action.
The seventh annual Little East Conference Women’s Lacrosse
Tournament begins on Tuesday, April 29, when UMass Dartmouth and
Keene State College host first-round contests. The third-seeded
Owls will host No. 6 Rhode Island College,
while fifth-seeded Western Connecticut State University
travels to the fourth-seeded Corsairs. The opening draws for both
contests are schedule to begin at 7 p.m.
The semifinals of the tournament fray will be played at Eastern
Connecticut and the University of Southern Maine on Thursday, May
1. The Warriors welcome the winner between UMass Dartmouth
and Western Connecticut State University, while
the Huskies host the winner of Keene State College
and Rhode Island College. The semifinals winners meet on
Saturday, May 3 at the highest remaining seed to determine the
automatic qualifier for the 2008 NCAA Division III Tournament.
