Jordan Pokryfki Sets Keene State Assists Record

BEVERLY, MASS. – Junior setter
Jordan Pokryfki (Wasilla, Alaska.) broke Keene
State’s record for career assist, helping the Owls win a pair
of games at the Endicott tournament on Saturday.
Pokryfki had 39 assists in the Owls 3-1 (21-25, 25-19, 25-19,
25-19) win over New Jersey City University and 30 more sets in a
3-0 (25-18, 25-18, 25-14) sweep over Emmanuel College to give her
2,468 assists, surpassing the previous mark (2,441) held by
Sarah Reed (1997-99). Pokryfki also holds KSC game
(61) and season (1,358) set record.
Pokryfki also recorded three service aces against New Jersey and
seven kills and 10 digs vs. Emmanuel.
Offensively, senior Brittany O’Bryant (Merrimack,
N.H.) had 11 kills and six blocks and freshman hitter
Kristen Girard (Red Hook, N.Y.) finished with 11
kills and 12 digs in the win over New Jersey City.
Brittany added nine kills and Sister Bridget
O’Bryant had seven kills against Emmanuel.
Keene State (5-2) is at Westfield State on Tuesday (7 p.m.)
