LittleEast.tv To Broadcast Softball Championship

NORTH DARTMOUTH, Mass. - If fans are unable to
make the trip to Providence, R.I. this weekend for the 2009 Little
East Conference Softball Championship, they can follow all the
action live on LittleEast.tv from the Dayna A. Bazar Complex on the
campus of Rhode Island College.
Rhode Island College earned the top-seed in the six-team,
double-elimination field for the fourth time in the past five
seasons. The Anchorwomen broke the program's record for wins inside
the conference circuit with a 13-1 mark, putting an additional
victory between the previous standard. Head Coach Maria
Morin and her squad has raised the past three Little East
Conference Championship trophies and advanced to the NCAA Division
III Tournament as the conference's automatic qualifier.
Keene State College and Eastern Connecticut State University each
completed the 14-game regular season with a 10-4 record, but the
Owls won the tie-breaker to earn the second seed. Western
Connecticut State University, Plymouth State University, and the
University of Southern Maine complete the six-team field.
The Rhode Island College athletics department will be running in-game
statistics for each of the tournament games. For complete

The Little East Conference has partnered with EPS Solutions to sell
a 2009 Little East
Conference Softball Championship. EPS Solutions is currently
accepting pre-orders at $15 per shirt. The championship appeal will
also be available for purchase at the site of competition.
