Men's Cross Country

Runner of the Week
Jeff Tretheway (Merrimack, N.H.), Sophomore, Keene State College

Tretheway was the first Keene State runner covered the 5-kilometer course in a time of 16 minutes and 33 seconds at the Trinity Invitational this past weekend. The Merrimack product placed third overall as the Owls finished with 67 total points in the 11-team field.  

Rookie of the Week
Alex Gomes (Peabody, Mass.), Freshman, University of Southern Maine
Gomes turned in an impressive debut finishing third at the St. Joseph's College Runnin' Monks Early Bird Invitational. Gomes completed the 5,000-meter course in a time of 17:10.

Women's Cross Country

Runner of the Week
Rita Marcotte (Heath, Mass.), Junior, Keene State College

Marcotte finished ninth at the Trinity Invitational to lead the Keene State squad. She covered the 4-kilometer course in a time of 17 minutes and 27 seconds as tallied 96 points in the 14-team field.
