of the Week
Craig McPherson (Derry, N.H.), Sophomore, Keene State
College
MacPherson captured the 800-meter race at the Tufts Invitational this past weekend, clocking an NCAA championship provisional qualifying time (1:54.12). He was also a member of the Owls' 4x400 team that placed fourth (3:30.92).
Field Athlete
of the Week
AJ Marden (Victory, Vt.), Freshman, University of Southern
Maine
Marden won the triple jump competition at the State of Maine
Championships with a leap of 13.41 meters (44-0), marking his fifth
individual victory of the campaign. His closest competitor in the
13-person field posted a jump of 12.62 meters (43-08).

Athlete of the Week
Tim Even (Stoneham, Maine), Freshman, University of
Southern Maine
Even won the 1,000 meters and placed third in the mile at the State of Maine Championships. He also ran the anchor leg of the Huskies winning 4 x 800-meter relay. In the 1,000, he turned in a time of 2:34.04, which qualifies him for the New England Div. III Championships and the ECAC Div. III Championships. Even posted a time of 4:26.07 in the mile to also qualify for the upcoming the New England Div. III meet. The all-freshmen relay team posted a winning time of 8:10.73. Even was recognized with the Jim Wescott Track Athlete Award.
Rookie Field Athlete of the
Week
Orion Winkler (Brownfield, Maine), Freshman, University of
Southern Maine
Winkler won the pole vault at the State of Maine Championships by
clearing a season-best 4.64 meters (15-2 3/4). Winkler's mark
qualifies him for the New England Div. III Championships, the
NEIcAAA New England Championships and the ECAC Division III
Championships. He became just the third Huskies' pole vaulter to
clear 15 feet indoors.
