Track Athletes of the Week
Craig MacPherson (Derry, N.H.), Sophomore, Keene State College
At the Boston University Terrier Classic, MacPherson raced to an NCAA Division III championship automatic qualifying and personal record time (4:09.70) with his 10th place finish in the mile.

Field Athlete of the Week
Dante Lopardo (Johnston, R.I.), Senior, Rhode Island College
Lopardo won the high jump event at the Wesleyan Invitational with a leap of 1.94 meters. He also placed 25th in the long jump (5.73m).

Rookie Track Athlete of the Week
Tim Even (Stoneham, Maine), Freshman, University of Southern Maine

Even qualified for the New England Division III Championships in the 1,000-meters and mile this past weekend at the Reggie Poyau Memorial Invitational held at Brandeis University. He won the grueling 1,000 meters with a time of 2:35.02, while placing sixth in the mile with a time of 4:25.17. Southern Maine finished fourth (with 94.50 points) among the 10 teams competing.

Rookie Field Athlete of the Week
A.J. Marden (Victory, Vt.), Freshman, University of Southern Maine

Marden won his third triple jump competition of the season Saturday at the Reggie Poyau Memorial Invitational held at Brandeis University. Marden took the top spot with a jump of 13.27 meters (43-6 1/2) to win by nearly two feet (59 centimeters or 23 1/4 inches).
