NORTH DARTMOUTH, Mass. -- Eastern
Connecticut State University earned the No. 1 seed in the Little
East Men's Soccer Championship when the conference office announced
the four-team tournament field this evening. The Warriors clinched
the top seed for the second straight season and fourth time in
program history.
The Little East Conference will sponsor two semifinal matches on
Thursday, November 1. Eastern Connecticut (15-1-1) will host
fourth-seeded Plymouth State University (7-10), while third-seeded
University of Massachusetts Dartmouth (11-6) will travel to
second-seeded Keene State College (11-6-1). The championship match
is scheduled for Saturday, November 3 at the highest remaining
seed.
Fans unable to make it to the site of competition can keep up with
all the information from the 2012 Little East Fall Championships on
Tournament Central. Little East Tournament Central will provide the
multi-media links, tournament pairings, and past results for the
conference's five fall championships.
Formed in 1986, the Little East serves as New England's premier
athletic conference for public institutions in NCAA Division III.
