Migliore Earns ECAC Weekly Award; Anchormen Raise To No. 7 in N.E. Rankings

NORTH DARTMOUTH, Mass. - Senior midfielder Brandon Migliore (Coventry, R.I.) was named the Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Division III New England Men's Soccer Offensive Player of the Week after leading Rhode Island College to a pair of victories this past week. The Anchormen also climbed two spots in the latest edition of the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) New England Poll to No. 7.

Migliore powered the Rhode Island College attack with three goals for six points in victories over Westfield State College (4-1) and No. 13 Eastern Connecticut State University (2-1 OT). The Little East Conference Offensive Player of the Week scored a marker in the 47th minute against the Owls on Oct. 22. Three days later, Migliore netted each of the Anchormen goals, including the game-winner in the 97th minute of the extra session, to lift the hosts past the nationally-ranked Warriors.

In nine starts in 15 appearances this season on the pitch, Migliore currently ranks second on the club in assists (3), goals (4), and points (11). He has provided Rhode Island College with a scoring punch over the past four matches, logging at least one point in three of those contests. Migliore has recorded multiple points three times, including a three-point effort against Salem State on Oct. 15.

The Anchormen are unbeaten in 13 of their past 14 matches, boasting a record of 10-1-3. Rhode Island College has enjoyed the program's most successful season in the Little East, setting a new program standard for single-season victories in the conference with a 5-0-1 mark. The Anchormen can clinch the program's first Little East regular season championship at the University of Southern Maine with a win or tie on Nov. 1.

Rhode Island College (10-4-3) returns to action tonight at 7 p.m., when the Anchormen travel to Amherst College for a non-conference match.
