Little East Conference announces 2008 Men's Lacrosse Championship Tournament pairings

NORTH DARTMOUTH, Mass. - Eastern Connecticut State University earned the top-seed and home-field advantage throughout the 2008 Little East Conference Men's Lacrosse Championship Tournament. Keene State College and the Warriors received a bye in the first round of the six-team tournament field.

The eighth annual conference championship opens on Tuesday, April 29 with two first-rounds games. Third-seeded Western Connecticut State University hosts UMass Boston, while fourth-seeded UMass Dartmouth welcomes fifth-seeded Plymouth State University.

Top-seeded Eastern Connecticut State University will await the winner of the Corsairs and Panthers on Thursday, May 1, while the second-seeded Owls will host the winner of the Colonials and Beacons on the same evening. The two semifinal winners will meet in the championship game at the highest remaining seed on Saturday, May 3. The 2008 Little East Conference Men's Lacrosse Championship Tournament champion advances to the 2008 NCAA Division III Tournament.
