Krinsky reaches 200-point milestone for Panthers

CASTLETON, Vt. - Plymouth State University
benefitted from goals by eight different players Tuesday afternoon
en route to a 16-3 non-conference men's lacrosse victory over
Castleton State College, ending the Spartans' seven-game winning
streak.
Adam Krinsky (Concord, N.H.) added five assists to his lone
goal, giving him 15 goals and 28 points on the season. His 43
points this spring give him 201 for his career, making him the
sixth player in Plymouth State history to achieve the 200-point
milestone.
Plymouth State (8-5) held a 3-1 lead after the first period as
seniors Tony Aguiar (Northborough, Mass.) and Krinsky, and
sophomore Brian Giroux (Wolfeboro Falls, N.H.) each scored for the
Panthers. Freshman Derek Riley (Randolph, Vt.) tallied Castleton's
lone first period goal.
The Panthers controlled play for much of the second period, with
sophomores Tim Hadley (New London, N.H.) and Adam Rothbart
(Portland, Maine) scoring twice each before Castleton senior Brett
Quillia (Hartford, Vt.) answered with his 12th of the season.
Hadley tacked on the fifth Panther goal of the period with 15
seconds remaining to give Plymouth State an 8-2 halftime lead.
The second half saw Plymouth State pull away for good, out-scoring
the hosts 8-1 over the final 30 minutes of play. Giroux added two
more goals after the break, while freshman Andrew Eriksen (Beverly,
Mass.) and Teddy Akriviellis (Dover, Mass.) also scored twice each
and Aguiar and sophomore Kyle Belanger (Southington, Conn.) added
one apiece.
Sophomore Kirk Bolduc (Lewiston, Maine) rounded out the Castleton
scoring, as the Spartans fall to 10-5 on the season. Freshman
Christopher Wynne (Suffern, N.Y.) took the loss in the goal for
Castleton, allowing nine goals while stopping six shots. Junior
Michael Mamunes (Manchester, Conn.) took over and allowed seven
goals, and made four saves.
Plymouth State freshman Billy Morgan (Winchester, Mass.) stopped
five shots, all in the first
Period, to earn the win. Classmate Kevin Hayes (Beverly, Mass.)
played the final period and recorded two saves.
Castleton will wrap up its regular season on Thursday when the
Spartans host Green Mountain College at 4:00 pm. After 13 games on
