MIDDLEBURY, Vt.—Juniors Carl Lee (Warwick, R.I.) and Nick Manson (Newport, R.I.) led Rhode Island College to a 75-59 win over regional host Middlebury in the second round to reach the Sweet 16 of the 2010 NCAA Div. III Men's Basketball Tournament. RIC (22-7) will face Brandeis (21-6) with a chance to reach the Elite Eight for the second time in four years on Friday, March 12 at host Williams (27-1). The Anchormen defeated the Judges in the second round of the 2007 NCAA Tournament and lost in regular season action last season.

MIDDLEBURY, Vt.—Junior guard Antone Gray (Providence, R.I.) and senior backcourt mate Jake Grimes (Providence, R.I.) each scored 19 points to lead Rhode Island College past Rutgers-Newark, 72-60, in first round action of the 2010 NCAA Div. III Men's Basketball Tournament played at Middlebury College.
RIC advances to face the winner of the Gordon College vs. regional site host Middlebury (8 p.m.) tomorrow at 7 p.m. Tickets will be reserved at the Middlebury College box office for RIC fans only from 6 to 6:15 p.m. on Saturday, Mar. 6 before being released to the general public.

PROVIDENCE, R.I.- The Rhode Island College men's basketball team will face Rutgers-Newark in first round action of the 2010 NCAA Div. III Men's Basketball Tournament on Friday, Mar. 5 at Middlebury College. The Anchormen (20-7), who won their third Little East Conference Tournament title in four years, will face the Scarlet Raiders (20-7) on Friday night.
