Don Tencher Promoted To Assistant Vice President For Administration

PROVIDENCE, R.I. -- Rhode Island College Director of Athletics Don Tencher has been promoted to serve as the Assistant Vice President for Administration. He will continue to serve as the Director of Athletics, but will also provide oversight to the college's campus police department, facilities and operations area and to all capital projects.

Tencher, who recently completed his 17th year as the athletic director at RIC, has led the intercollegiate athletics program through its most successful period in the college's history. In addition to unprecedented athletic success by the Anchormen and Anchorwomen, the athletic facilities have been completely upgraded during his tenure, which recently culminated in the recent opening of a new 80,000-plus square foot facility for campus recreation and intercollegiate athletic support.
