All Little East Men's and Women's Basketball Games Live on LittleEast.tv

NORTH DARTMOUTH, Mass. –The Little East
Conference and EZStream.com have partnered to video-stream each
men’s and women’s basketball regular season conference
contest free of charge to the viewer during the 2009-10 season on
LittleEast.tv. The conference circuit begins at 1 p.m.
on Saturday, Dec. 5 with four women’s games scheduled, while
the men take the court approximately two hours later.
The Little East men’s and women’s basketball teams
travel to the same site of competition during conference play,
primarily on Tuesday night and Saturday. This weekend’s
match-ups include: Keene State College at University of
Massachusetts Boston, University of Massachusetts Dartmouth at
Plymouth State University, Rhode Island College at Eastern
Connecticut State University, and Western Connecticut State
University at University of Southern Maine.
The Little East men’s and women’s basketball teams each
play a 14-game double round-robin conference schedule to determine
the final regular season standings. LittleEast.tv will feature 112
broadcasts on 14 selected dates during the season twice in
December, seven times in January, and five times in February. The
top-six teams in the final standings will advance to the 2010
Little East Championship Tournament. The conference office will
also sponsor full video coverage of the men’s and
women’s basketball tournament games between Feb. 23-27. The
conference champion will earn the automatic qualifier into the 2010
NCAA Division III Tournament.
LittleEast.tv was launched on February 4, 2009, when the University
of Massachusetts Dartmouth defeated Tufts University in men's
basketball. LittleEast.tv has broadcasted 12 Little East Conference
championships in its first full year of coverage (baseball,
men’s and women’s basketball, men’s and
women’s cross country, field hockey, men’s and
women’s soccer, softball, women’s swimming and diving,
women’s tennis, and volleyball) . This past spring, Eastern
Connecticut State University and the Little East Conference
co-hosted the 2009 NCAA Division III Baseball New England Regional
Championship from Willimantic, Conn. Each of the 14 games were
produced and broadcasted on LittleEast.tv.
Initially formed in 1986 as a six-team men's and women's basketball
conference, the Little East Conference is celebrating its 24th
sponsored season. Western Connecticut State University joined the
conference in 1993-1994, while Keene State College raised its
current membership to eight teams in 1997-1998.
