Hill Earns ECAC Division III New England Honors

CENTERVILLE, Mass. - University of Southern
Maine junior Allison Hill (Cape Elizabeth, Maine)
was selected the Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC)
Division III New England Goalkeeper of the Week this afternoon by
the conference office. Less than 24 hours earlier, Hill was tabbed
the Little East Conference Goalkeeper of the Week after leading the
Huskies to a 1-0 record this past week.
In Southern Maine's season-opener, Hill made 14 saves to backstop
Southern Maine to a 2-1 overtime win over Colby College. Facing 21
total shots in 83.42 minutes, the Cape Elizabeth product made six
saves in the first half, seven in the second, and one in the
overtime period to earn her 26th career victory.
She currently sits atop the conference standings in saves per game
(14), while ranking among the Little East leaders in save
percentage (2nd, .933) and goals against average (4th, 0.84).
Southern Maine returns to action at 4 p.m. on Sept. 11, when the
Huskies travel to Gordon College for a non-conference match.
