Bobby Doyon Named ABCA All-American

KEENE, N.H. - Keene State's Bobby Doyon (Keene, N.H.) hit another home run on Friday. The sophomore outfielder from Keene, N.H. was named to the American Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA) Division III All-America team.

Doyon becomes the first Keene State player to receive the honor. Earlier in the week, he was named to the D3Baseball.com All-America team.

A second-team selection on the ABCA team, Doyon established a new Owls' standard for doubles (22) and RBI (73), while matching the single-season record for home runs (13). He ranked among the national leaders in RBI per game (2nd, 1.8), RBI (4th), doubles per game (5th, 0.55), doubles (7th), total bases (13th, 134), and home runs (17th).

The Keene, N.H. product hit safely in 35 of his 40 appearances, including 24 multiple-hit games. Doyon hit .435 (73-for-168) with 35 extra base hits, while posting a season-best 13-game hit streak between March 19 to April 10. He registered at least four hits in a single-game three times, including a five-for-six outing against The College of N.J. on March 14. Doyon drove in multiple runs in 17 games, including a season-high six against intra-state rival Plymouth State.

Doyon will play for the Protocall Stars of the Atlantic Baseball Confederation College League, a wooden bat league in New Jersey this summer.
