Bobby Doyon Named ABCA All-American

KEENE, N.H. - Keene State's Bobby
Doyon (Keene, N.H.) hit another
home run on Friday. The sophomore outfielder from Keene, N.H. was
named to the American Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA) Division
III All-America team.
Doyon becomes the first Keene State player to receive the honor.
Earlier in the week, he was named to the D3Baseball.com All-America
team.
A second-team selection on the ABCA team, Doyon established a new
Owls' standard for doubles (22) and RBI (73), while matching the
single-season record for home runs (13). He ranked among the
national leaders in RBI per game (2nd, 1.8), RBI
(4th), doubles per game (5th, 0.55), doubles (7th), total
bases (13th, 134), and home runs (17th).
The Keene, N.H. product hit safely in 35 of his 40 appearances,
including 24 multiple-hit games. Doyon hit .435 (73-for-168)
with 35 extra base hits, while posting a season-best
13-game hit streak between March 19 to April 10. He registered
at least four hits in a single-game three times, including a
five-for-six outing against The College of N.J. on March 14. Doyon
drove in multiple runs in 17 games, including a season-high six
against intra-state rival Plymouth State.
Doyon will play for the Protocall Stars of the Atlantic Baseball
Confederation College League, a wooden bat league in New Jersey
this summer.
