  • ECSU' Zachary Named ABCA/Rawlings New England Player of the Year; Nine Named All-Region

    The 2017 ABCA/Rawlings NCAA Div. III All-Region teams and Regional Players of the Year have been announced in all eight regions. The teams are voted on by members of the American Baseball Coaches Association and the process is led by the ABCA NCAA Div. III All-America Committee.
  • LEC Qualifies 10 Men Student-Athletes for NCAA Outdoor Championships

    PAWTUCKET, R.I. — The NCAA Division III Men’s and Women’s Track and Field Committee announced the participants in the 2017 NCAA Division III Women’s Outdoor Track and Field Championships. The Little East Conference has 10 male student-athletes qualified for to participate in six championship events this week.

    PAWTUCKET, R.I. — The NCAA Division III Men’s and Women’s Track and Field Committee announced the participants in the 2017 NCAA Division III Women’s Outdoor Track and Field Championships. The Little East Conference has 14 student-athletes qualified for to participate in 10 championship events this week.
  • UMass Boston Beacons Heading to Appleton, Wisconsin!

    PAWTUCKET. R.I. – The UMass Boston Beacons has earned a spot in the NCAA Division III Baseball College World Series after winning the New England Regional last weekend. The Beacons will be back in action to face off against North Central (IL) on Friday, May 26 for a 4:30 p.m.
  • UMass Boston Top Seed in New England, Southern Maine At-Large Bid in Regionals

    The Beacons will face Penn-State Berks, who are the eight-seed, at 1 p.m. on Thursday, May 18 in the New England Region and the Huskies are the second seed in the six-team, double-elimination New York Regional and will face Castleton University in Game Two on Thursday (2:30 p.m.).
  • LEC Announces 2017 Baseball All-Conference Teams

    PAWTUCKET, R.I. – The Little East Conference announced its 2017 Baseball All-Conference Teams and Major Awards as voted on by the eight LEC head coaches. The Southern Maine Huskies edged out UMass Boston to claim the 2017 Little East Conference regular season championship by one game, the program’s 12th LEC regular season title and sixth straight.
  • Panthers Fall To Defending National Champs In First Round

    MIDDLEBURY, Vt. – The Middlebury women’s lacrosse team had little trouble with Plymouth State University Saturday as the eighth-ranked Panthers (14-4) picked up a 13-1 victory in an NCAA first-round contest on Kohn Field.
  • Little East Conference Announces Women’s Outdoor Track & Field Awards

    PAWTUCKET, R.I. – The Little East Conference announced the 2017 Women’s Outdoor Track and Field major awards, as voted on by the league’s head coaches. Rhode Island College’s Melanie Brunelle is the only repeat major award winner and all other honorees are first time outdoor track and field major award winners.

  • LEC Announces 2017 Softball All-Conference Teams

    PAWTUCKET, R.I. – The Little East Conference announced its 2017 Softball All-Conference Teams and Major Awards as voted on by the eight LEC head coaches. For the first time in the history of LEC softball, there was a four-way tie for first place between Eastern Connecticut State, Plymouth State, Western Connecticut State and the eventual LEC tournament champions, UMass Boston.
  • LEC Announces 2017 Women’s Lacrosse All-Conference Teams

    PAWTUCKET, R.I. – The Little East Conference announced its 2017 Women’s Lacrosse All-Conference Teams and Major Awards as voted on by the seven LEC head coaches. The Eastern Connecticut State Warriors claimed the regular season title after finishing 6-0 in the LEC standings and Plymouth State claimed the LEC Tournament championship with a 13-12 victory over the Warriors.
  • LEC Announces 2017 Men’s Lacrosse All-Conference Teams

    PAWTUCKET, R.I. – The Little East Conference announced its 2017 Men’s Lacrosse All-Conference Teams and Major Awards as voted on by the eight LEC head coaches. The Keene State Owls finished the season on top of the regular season standings with a 7-0 record and has extended its current winning streak against Little East opponents to 40 games, with their last conference loss occurring in 2012.
  • LEC Announces 2017 Men’s Tennis All-Conference Teams

    PAWTUCKET, R.I. – The Little East Conference announced its 2017 Men’s Tennis Major Awards and All-Conference Teams on Tuesday, May 9, 2017 as voted on by the league’s seven head coaches. Kyle Curley (Gorham, ME) from the University of Southern Maine was named the Little East Conference Men’s Tennis Player of the Year and also picked up All-LEC First Team honors for both Singles and Doubles action.
